The Hotel is located a short walk from South Kensington Tube Station. Forms of transportation are car, tube or bus.

Do you have parking?

No, we don’t have parking. The closest public parking is Kensington Parking Center, 0.1 mile away.

What is the closest public transportation?

South Kensington tube station: 1 minute

Gloucester Road tube station: 8 minutes

Can I walk to places nearby?

Yes, lots of places are within walking distance including Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Hyde Park and many restaurants.

Are pets allowed?

The Ampersand welcomes all dogs up to 40lbs max per room.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check in is at 2pm and checkout is at 12pm.

Is early check-in available?

Booked an early flight? We will do our very best to accommodate an early check-in, subject to availability, just let us know in advance. If this is not possible, we will gladly store your luggage safely and securely until your room is ready.

Is late check-out available?

Want to sleep in? We will do our very best to accommodate a late check-out, subject to availability, just let us know in advance. If this is not possible, we will gladly store your luggage safely and securely until you are ready to continue your journey.

What is your guarantee/deposit policy?

Reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card when you book.

What is your cancellation policy?

Pay Now rates are non-refundable, full pre-paid and non-transferrable.
Pay Later rates require a cancellation notice 24 hours prior to date of arrival in order to avoid a penalty of one night’s stay. Unless otherwise noted on confirmation, please let us know if you have to cancel 24 hours before arrival to avoid penalty. In the event of a no-show, a one-night charge will apply.

Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out?

We will gladly store your luggage safely and securely until you are ready to continue your journey.

Yes, our suites have balconies providing outdoor space.

Yes, our Superior and Deluxe Rooms can be configured with twin beds.

Do you have rooms with bathtubs?

Yes, Superior and Deluxe rooms offer a bathtub option upon request, while all Deluxe Studios and Suites feature bathtubs as standard.

Do the rooms have safes? Are they large enough to accommodate a laptop?

Every room has a safe that is large enough to accommodate a laptop.

Are cribs/cots available for children? Do you provide extra beds?

Yes, please request this when making your reservation, and we will provide one, subject to availability.

Please note that cots are suitable for infants up to 1 year of age.

 

We can provide an extra single rollaway bed for Deluxe Rooms and Deluxe Studios.

Please note that rollaway beds are suitable for children up to 12 years of age.

The Jurassic Afternoon Tea is served in Apero.

The Science Afternoon Tea is served in the The Drawing Rooms.

What are the Afternoon Teas opening times? And how do I book?

Our Jurassic Afternoon Tea is served:

  • Mon – Sun: 12noon – 7:00pm

Our Science Afternoon Tea is served:

  • Mon – Fri: 12noon – 7:00pm
  • Sat – Sun: 11:00am – 7:30pm

Absolutely! We have Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-Free Afternoon Tea options available.

Walk-ins are accepted, though we kindly advise making a reservation to avoid disappointment.

Do you have event and meeting spaces?

Yes, we have three event rooms. Two of them can be merged to create a large event space.
